PRESERVATION UNLIMITED began in 1998 under the direction of James P. Duggan. A full-service contracting company, we specialize in traditional building trades. Our services include historic preservation construction and consulting, training and education programs as well as preservation advocacy.

We are experienced working on many different buildings types and materials. Over the past few years a growing portion of our work has been specializing in the care and repair of historic masonry and plaster.

Preservation Unlimited has completed projects for the National Park Service, Vermont Division for Historic Preservation, Preservation Trust of Vermont, local historical societies, municipal and community groups as well as residential customers.

Our work has brought us to all corners of Vermont and New England, as well as places further away such as Colorado, California, Texas, St. John, USVI and, most recently, Cuba.
